ABOUT US
Haus of Pole emerged as a response to a growing trend
of exclusionary practices within alternative fitness and
dance spaces in Oklahoma City and beyond.
Recognizing the need for an actual inclusive space,
we founded this studio to welcome those who
felt marginalized elsewhere. Whether due to their
profession as sex workers, their deviation from
conventional body types, or their inability to conform to strict dance norms,
Haus of Pole was created as a sanctuary for all who needed a space to call home.
Our mission is simple: to create a space that promotes a welcoming atmosphere with individuality, safety, and fun at the forefront. From this, our studio was born.
We envisioned a place of belonging and camaraderie, a space not reserved for the privileged few but open to all, regardless of financial means. At Haus of Pole, we firmly believe that dance should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of background or budget. We wanted a place that gives praise to everyones unique sense of existing and let them express that through their own individual dance journey.

MISSION STATEMENT
At Haus of Pole, our aim is to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. We prioritize individuality, encouraging dancers to express themselves freely and move to their own beat. We embrace those who may not have felt at ease in mainstream circles, fostering a community where uniqueness is actually celebrated.
Diversity is at the heart of our ideology. We believe in bringing people together regardless of age, body type, or background, because what truly matters is the joy of movement and feeling confident in your own skin.
Our focus is on providing a sanctuary from life's pressures, rather than adding to them. We don't focus on being "comp ready" or stressful curriculums, opting instead for a personalized approach that allows each dancer to progress at their own pace. Thus, helping others see their comrades as a supportive tight-knit community and not competition.
Haus of Pole strives to be an inclusive dance experience for everyone. We promise to honor the rich history of pole dancing as it relates to sex work, while also embracing a range of dance styles beyond the traditional norm. Our studio is designed to be a haven—a place where everyone feels valued and supported, like they've found a second home.
