Meet our Haus of Pole Fam

Hope Schmerfeld

Instructor

Hope is a 20 year veteran of pole dance. She began teaching in 2009 and is Xpert pole fitness certified, level 1 & 2. She was the founder and organizer of the Miss Pole Dance Oklahoma competition that ran for 3 years and was nationally recognized and a part of the Pole Fitness Championship. She is also skilled and well traveled in the art of very belly dance. Hope has a true passion for Pole and Dance and is excited to continue sharing her talents and skills with Oklahoma City.

Ty

Instructor

Ty started pole in November 2022 and quickly fell in love with the art and challenge of it. About three years later, they’ve worked their way up to the advanced level and have been part of the HOP community for nearly two years. Outside the studio, Ty is a big foodie with serious cooking skills and would one day like attend culinary school. They’ve always been drawn to the arts and creativity in all its forms whether through dancing, cooking, or a good conversation that sparks new ideas.

Ryan Hughes

Instructor

Hailing from California, Ryan is a front bending, back bending, and yoga extraordinaire! Ryan has been certified in yoga and contortion practices and takes joy in helping others find their strength, balance, and flexibility.

He has spent his years reaching for the most rewarding practices and exciting movement pattern to share with all his students. He finds passion on teaching a niche subset of yoga called Rocket Yoga that focuses on inversions and yogic practice through energy exchanges based in inverted poses and flow.

Amanda

Instructor

Amanda has 20yrs of stage experience, starting in the pole clubs of Michigan at 19 she has since grown to compete, studio ownership and more! Recently relocated to the OKC area, she’s excited to get back to coaching pole!

Mimi Monarch

Instructor

With four years of cheerleading/tumbling experience and three years dedicated to pole dancing, I’ve built a strong foundation in movement, athleticism, and performance. Beyond the studio, I explore my creative side through modeling and fashion design, bringing my vision to life with my own clothing brand. Whether it’s on the pole, in front of the camera, or behind the sewing machine, I’m passionate about expression, strength, and artistry. 💖

Molly

Instructor

Molly has been a dancer since 2016, an aerialist since 2018, and a pole dancer since 2022. She is currently a student at UCO, working on a degree in Arts Administration with a concentration in Dance. Molly's dancing has been described as "weird gremlin modern". She blends her passion for teaching and dance with humor and knowledge. She firmly believes that everyone has a place in dance, and most importantly, that it's ok to fall down, as long as you always get back up!

Riot Nicole

Instructor

Oklahoma resident, Riot, started her dancing journey at a young age. Starting in ballet, she shortly after went on to become a drumline dancer in high school traveling across the state to multiple competitions and stages.

Continuing her dance journey, she started her pole journey 13 years ago on stages across the nation in Colorado, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, and all across the states. This journey lead her many places, including her ability to teach and choreograph chair dances for a burlesque company for over 4 years.

She is so excited to bring her grit and flair to Haus of Pole and teach the girlies how to feel good and get down.

Alice Wanderlust

Founder

Joshua Tree, California local, now Oklahoma City resident Alice Wanderlust is an old-skool style dancer who got her start in pole dancing in the early 2010s in various strip clubs around the US and started teaching pole and workshops in studios in 2014 all over the West Coast.

 

Alice started her journey in feature entertainment and the circus arts shortly after moving to Portland in 2015. Gracing many diverse stages, studios, and competitions across the country with a variety of different acts, styles, and workshops over the years, she has always come back to finding comfort in teaching pole, aerial, and the circus arts. Helping people feel confident, inspired, and finding a sense of community in their pole and aerial journeys.
